Meredith King PhotoMeredith L. King is a creative generalist, writer, visual and performing artist. She has been writing and publishing since the age of nine, and she is excited to return to her writing roots with this anthology. Meredith received a B.A. from Stanford University and an M.B.A from Yale University. She has worked professionally as an arts administrator and teacher as well as working as a community organizer on the national level. In addition, Meredith has worked as a freelance playwright, director and musician with a variety of companies in the Washington, DC area including Round House Theatre’s Heyday Players, dog & pony dc, The Hegira, African Continuum Theatre and eXtreme eXchange. Though she now resides in her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, Meredith continues to use both her strategic and artistic sides to create innovative artistic projects in a variety of mediums and help arts organizations reach their goals. Meredith is passionate about the power of personal storytelling, and is interested in using her artistic, administrative and analytical experiences to work at the intersection of the arts, education and community building.
